About Me

About

I am an artist. I’ve been performing and teaching music professionally for over 20 years as a freelance bassist. One of the biggest challenges I have had in my musical career has been the internet. For the longest time I just didn’t take it seriously except for when I was searching for something. It wasn’t until I “slowed down” from music that I started to realize the internet’s potential. I now own a children’s clothing company that has been running strong in the Caribbean for many years and is relatively new to the United States. When we brought the company to the U.S. we decided to keep it simple and start out online. It was not simple. In fact, it was extremely challenging but after stumbling all over myself, spending money I didn’t need to spend and exposing a few money pits I started to get the hang of it. I learned quite a few valuable lessons in that time period. I’ve now handed the management of that company over and refocused on my true passion: The artist community.

I want to give back to the community that gave so much to me

Why?

Part of what got me interested in doing this was my involvement in the Thriving Artist Alliance, a group dedicated to helping other artists reach and fulfill their potential by garnering the support of the artistic community using their various talents. My life wouldn’t exist in the form it is today were it not for this group. The Thriving Artist Alliance helped my wife and I prepare ourselves to purchase our first home and start our first business. What I intend to do now is give back to the community that gave so much to me.

My Goal

After we got our business off the ground I realized that there was a void that needed to be filled and I just so happened to have the experience and drive to fill it. My goal is to help build individual artists’ web presence to compete with the likes of the large corporate interests that dominate what the majority of our culture considers entertainment. I feel if you are truly talented and hard-working that you deserve to be noticed. I want to help artists build a strong, integrated online platform to make this happen. I want to share my experience to help artists continue to build their web presence, garnering the support of their community and peers.
